Yi.' TOWN HALL PICTURES. -„ All lovejjflf Charles Dicker s works see' the star film at the Town Hall to-night. It is an adaptation of Dickens' satirical tal e of the Chuzzle-' .wit family and the splendid portrayal of the characters makes it a film of unusual note. The management will only be able to screen it to-night, so those desirous of witnessing the pi°turising of a standard work should not fail to b e present. The star film is supported by many good pictures, including the latest War Budget. The humorous element of the programme is well to the front, one comedy being entitled "Bloomer Plays Football." A roaring comedy, "Ford Stirling's Wedding."- will be screened to-night It can only be shown for one night. A RBeciaJ; Sunday; prpgjrammie; will be shown to-morrow night. KING'S THEATRE. . There was again a good house at this theatre last night, when a lenthy programme comprising a. large range of subjects was submitted. The picture of paramount importance is a star comedy, depicting "The Adventures of Miss Tomboy." It is a really humorous picture, but apart from this feature ifcjs a very interesting one, inasmuch aaPit shows numerous means of travelling. .An unusual picture showing a New York Police Department Carnival attracted a good deal of attention, and evoked loud applause. The usual comedies will b e shown and the dramatic side of the programme is also catered for. jK. '•• : THREE.STARS THEATRE. ! The current programme at this theatre is one that should attract large Jxouses. The fin e Pathe Gazette picture, "King in Name Alone," is one of the most beautifully coloured pictures. yet screened in Taihape. and to-night will be th e last opportunity for patrons to see it. The.story itself is one that holds the attention of the audience from the introduction to the ftnaJe. An unusual picture entitled "Girl of the Seasons" is also a good Sim, and the transformation scenes are very fine. Other excellent pictures • are shown, including a War Gazette, and a good Keystone comedy. It is a programme that should not be missed.
