It is' a story of v.we tenderness, deep pathos, and a • wise understanding of the human heart, It plays on every emotion, in all sorts of variations, and cwvies with it the wonderful universal anneal of the great song. The life aiory of John Howard Payne, the writer and composer, is told with & convincing clearness, ami one follows him through Jus trials and successes with a bearing heart and an infinite feeling of pi+y as lie passes into the Great Unknown, alone, unhonoured. and unsung. Welded into the photoplay in a series of life's dramas of smiles and tears, is shown the influence of this most beautiful and farreaching of songs. An exquisre touch of genius in the play is tho suggested .thought that Payne's mother at last realised that her son had made cne great success of his life, though it waa but to be the ever-living and deathless lines of "There's no place like Home."
