A sale of city properties belonging to the estate of the late Mrs. S. A. Rhodes was held at Wellington on Thursday. Three sections with small frontages to Lambton Quay (next the Union Bank), Featherston Street, and Grey Street, offered in one lot, were passed at auction, but ultimately sold privately for 24,000. A block of sections lying between Lower Cuba Street and Cornhill Street was sold Macky, Logan, and Caldwell for £15,000. With two small sales, the total value of the disposals was £42,000.
