- Th e Fire Brigade received a call to Mr G. Ebbett's residehes last night at 10 o’clock. On arrival the Brigade found that the wash-hous e was well alight, but Captain Cribb arid his men soon had a lead of hose out and quenched the flames. One of the most distressing fatal accidents ever recorded in Kimbolton, eighteen miles inland from Fellding, took place at midday yesterday, when Mr A. I. Pettigrew lost his life. Mr Pettigrew, who had bean a contractor for many years, was working in a pit on his own property.
