Last night, despite the circus and eounter-attractions, there was a fairly good audience to witness the last screening in Taihape of the great war picture, *' Saving the Colours, ’ \ and frop the frequent applause the picture wais very highly appreciated. To-night an entirely new programme will be submitted, one that Is cram full of filmic beauty and Interest. The star picture is an exceedingly popular one, which always draws large houses wherever it is shown. It is entitled “Behind-the Scenes,' and as its name implies-" it opens up a great deal that absorbing and instructive. This film is "upwards of •” ‘ ’- Ah and

thrills from start to flnah. equally engrossing is the great film entitled “Changing the Map'of Europe. As itaf name implies, it carries an exceedingly attractive theme in which all Britishers are now vitally interested. Five ■ other fine films make up ene of the best programmes yet submitted.

NIOHOLLS’ PICTURES, . • The change of programme at the Station Stret Theatre met with considerable evidence of approval from •the fairly largo audience present. The star picture, “The Soul’s Awakening,’’.is certainly a beautiful drama, splendidly acted, and is sure to remain popular. But the film that came in for repeated outbursts of applause was “The Greater Motive." This film exhibits some very excellent boxing bouts, clever and instructive.
