BOWLING.

HURN CUP RETURNS. Th e Hum Cup has returned to the efforts of Messrs Drayton, Evans, Neagle and Wrightson (skip), who, yesterday journeyed to Wanganui and . defeated the St. John's rink by 19 points to 14. It will be -remembered that a Taihape rink secured the Cup at Palmerston at the beginning of the season and successfully resisted several challenges for possession but eventually had to hand over the coveted cup, the premier bowling trophy of the West Coast, to a Marten rink which in turn succumbßd to a challenge by Saint John's. It is to be hoped that the Cup will remain in Taihape over the winter.
