It is an Australian picture play, written and filmed purely by Australians, and it features one- of the cleverest picture actresses in the world. At the Three Btars to-night an entirely new programme will be screened, the star being that great picture known as "The Shattered Tree." It is a vigorous and virile drama, in faet one of Edison's best. It Is a tsle of the cultured East and the rough but manly West, a play set around the robbery of £IO,OOO, with a sweet underplot of a fine love »t«ry. On Saturday afternoon a grand matinee will be held at the Station Street Theatre and also at the Three Stars, when the evening's programmes will be screened.
