LONDON WOOL SALES. Dalgety and Company have received the following cablegram from their London Office under date March 31: The wool saleg closed firm. Compared with last sales closing rates good shafty grjsasy merinos were from par to 5 per cent lower, medium 5 per cent, and short and burry and wasty ~l per cent, lower. Bulky scoured me"inos declined 5 per cent., medium 3 to 71 par cent., short and faulty 71 to 10 per cent. Greasy fine crossbreds were dearer by 5 per cent., medium lh per cent., and coarse 71 to 10 per c|3nt. Scoured crossbreds slipe 3 were higher by 5 per cent., except coarse Tualities which showed a rise of 11 per cent. Lambs were from par to 5 ?er cent lower. One hundred and ninja thousand bales were sold for the Home trade; 3,000 bales were sold to America; 12,000 bales were sold to the Continent; 18,000 bales were carried forward, and cf this quantity 17,000 were not offered. LONDON TALLOW SALES. The following cablegram has also been rjscived dated March 31st: At the tallow sales the bulk of the r fferingg were sold. The market was firm for inferior, but other descriptions were slightly easier.
