' A collision between two motor-ears oeuvred on the Rangiwahia, road a short distance from Mangwweka on Friday morning. They were being driven respectively by Mr. Badland and Mr. Smith, jun., of Taihape. The former sustained very little damage, but Mr. Smith’s car had one of its wheels broken.
The Taihape Co-operative Dairy Company propose paying 1/11 per lb for bntterfat supplied during this month. Tliis price constitutes a record by that company, and is offered to induce all suppliers to keep their cows in for as long a period as possible in the hope of making up loss in supidles due to the excessive dry weather.
There is some trouble about the handicaps for the chopping events at the Hibernian Club’s sports on Wednesday. The handicapper telegraphed to Mr. McLaughlan, the secretary, saying that they were posted at Eltham some days ago, but they have not yet come to hand. As soon as they come to hand they will be published, and, in any case, they will appear in the programme that will be on sale to-mor-row (Tuesday) night.

Two first Government shipment of meat for the Imperial Government is aboard the Ruahine, which sailed Saturday, and comprises 27,27-1 careases of mutton and lamb This is not the full shipment as private space had previously been arranged for. Mr. Massey stated that It had been said that certain freezing companies had declined to afford facilities to producers for putting meat through the works on their own account and selling it to the Government f.o.b. He had communicated with the freezing companies on the matter, twenty of whom had replied denying the allegation.

No real lover of music should fat to hear these young Russian geniuses. They are no ordinary company of travelling musicians, but they are performers in the very frontrank of the world’s greatest artists. Each one of them is a prodigy, and it is doubtful whether there is a much finer cellist in the world than young Misohel Ohevniavsky. The programs will leave something in the mind of everyone to talk about for the rest of his or her days, so far as music Is concerned.
