GISBORNE WOOL SALES.
BEST EVER HELD. GISBORNE, This Day. The wool sales conducted yesterday afternoon were the best ever held in Gisborne. The ordinary catalogue was submitted. Eleven buyers were present, including representatives from Auckland, Napier and Hastings firms. Competition was keen and prices were from a penny to penny half-penny higher than the previous sale, and stated to be twopence higher than the last Napier sale. Top prices were realised. Following are the quotations: Fleece 13d, lambs 13d, crutchings 9i|d, leeks 73d, dead 10id, pieces 9d; sllpe 122 d, skins 10id, bides 9|d.
