Not thja interesting result following the publication in the London newspapers of the prophecy of Lord Roberts’s death among the November, 1914, predictions in “Old Moore’s Almanac,’’ are tlpa scorjas of letters these newspapers have been receiving since. One amateur prophet points out that the Kaiser was (exactly 666 calendar months old on July 1914, having bran oru on .lair. ;.ry 1859. And on this he bases the following “prophecy”: “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the Beast; for it is tlye number of a man; and his number is six hundred and three score and six.” (Rev, xii., v. IS). V : j?*|f A publisher in a booklet-that sells cn the streets of London fer two e'ents. a copy asks, “Is the Kais'er referred to in the Book of Revelation and by the Prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel?” Another almanac prediction, published in August, 1913, reads: “The Kaiser of Germany is under y.ry adverse directions and danger both to health and person is indicated. A crisis is apparent in the history of the German Empire. The .spring seems j acre favourable and both the summer j •■’irl autumn promise a better outlook, i V't the terribly evil array of influences it the ccm.meacoirpnt of the year will j 'c-’ve their mark for many a long day j to come.”
