RANGITIKEI A. AND P. ASSOCIATION
The Rangitikei A. and P. Association's fourth autumn show promises to be the most, successful yet held. In spite of various circumstances which might have had a tendency of curtail the number of entries received they are in excess of those recived for any of the previous shows, and judging from the names of those exhibiting the quality of the exhibits will be of a very high order There will be an exceptionally good show of Romney sheep, but the Farmers' classes and the Fat Sheep classes show a slight falling off which is to be regretted. The Home Industries exhibited promise to be a feature of the show, and the Committee are particularly gratified at the interest which the ladies of the district have takeu in their own particular line. From the entries received in the harness, saddle and pony sections the show of horses will be worth while going a long way to see. The competitions are particularly well patronised with the exception of the Maiden Pony Jump for which ony two entries have been received, and the jumping will be a show in itself. For the convenience .of visitors special trains have been arranged for and Excursion Fares will be issued from Wanganui, Palmerston North, and Taumarunui and all intermediate stations to Taihape, available for return up to. the 26th inst. Late entries will be received up to f> p.m. on Wednesday next.
