LORD HARDINGE IN PERSIA.

(Reed 10.5 a.m.) DELHI, Feb 15. Viceroy Hardinge has returned to Delhi from a visit to the Persian Gulf. It is understood that the visit was a great success and enabled Viceroy Hardinge to gauge the situation and obtain local knowledge which will prove extremely useful in dealing with numerous military problems which must be considered in the near future*

The visit inspired confidence in all peacefully-disposed inhabitants. Attn e same time it acorded the Viceroy an opportunity of personally congratulating the troops on their success at Shatelarab and Muskat.
