FOUND DROWNED. i (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 13. The body of Miss Agnes Gray McAlister, of Stratford, aged 34, was found, i on the beach this morning. She was an inmate of a private hospital, suffering from nervous breakdown, and retired as usual last night, but was missing this morning. MOTOR FATALITY. ' t GISBORNE, Feb. 13. “Snowy” Howie, a lighterman, employed by Nelson Bros., was run over by a motor-car this morning, and sustained internal injuries, which proved fatal. . . 7 A A SOLDIER’S SUICIDE. ‘ " 1 TEMPORARILY INSANE. ], 1 CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. : At the adjourned inquest on Sergt.* Major Scott, who shot himself on the river bank on Friday, a verdict of suicide while temporarily insane was brought in. Mary Scott, of Dunedin, gave evidence that her son was depressed because he was not allows'; to go with the Army reinforcem - The deceased leaves a widow . ..1 three children.
