WINDY WELLINGTON. 3
A MOTOR CAR BLOWN OVER A BANK. NO DAMAGE DONE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Feb 15. The wind developed to such a pitch in Wellington yesterday afternoon that a motor car ; containing three passengers, while rounding the corner of Oriental Bay was lifted bodily and carried over the bank. It dropped five feet but no damage was done.

HOPE OF SAFETY ABANDONED. INVERCARGILL, Saturday. All hope for the safety of the British four-masted schooner limnae, 600 tons, four months’ overdue at Bluff from Surprise Island, Captain Thomasseu was in charge of tlie vessel, which was due at the Bluff in November with guano for the National Mortgage Co. She was loading when the Nurnberg raided Fanning Island and is probably sunk.
FALL FROM A TRAM.
AUCKLAND, This Day. ' Miss Jessie Hall, aged 20, fell from a tram-car at Epsom, and sustained i fractured skull. She was removed to the hospital in a state of semi-con-sciousness.
A CLERK IN TROUBLE.
AUCKLAND. This Day. At the Police Court this morning Wiliam Charles Hutchinson, aged 46, a clerk employed by the Sun Insurance Company, was charged with falsifying accounts with intent to defraud. Counsel for the prosecution stated that thth'e was a probability of other charges being made against Hutchison. Accused was remanded for eight days. Bail, one surety of £3OO and two of £.lO, was granted.

Ah Lee, who was arrested while landing from the Thames steamer on baturday with opium in his possession, came before the Police Court to-dav. The police stated that lie was a commercial traveller in the business. Ho was fined £SO.
A REVERSED DECISION
WELLINGTON, This Day.
The Trades and Labour Committee has decided to request the Arbitration Court at its next sitting at Wellington to proceed with the hearing of applications for new awards, and also to grant facilities for the revisions of awards already in existence, the terms of which have not expired. The Council considers that while the 3ost of living has increased there is ;. T et a great amount of prosperity in the country.
