THE WOOL EMBARGO LIKELY TO BE MODIFIED Press Association —Copyright. (Reed. 9.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Feb. 11 It is announced that the embargo on wool export has been modified, and it is possible that wool may be shipped to America under certain conditions, which are not yet announced. Mr. Pearce, in referring to the approaching arrival of soldiers discharged from the ranks of the expeditionary force, states that a man of high spirit and unruly disposition often makes the best soldier in the firing line. This was the reason that only absolute wasters, with whom it was impossible to do anything, were being discharged from the ranks. SYDNEY POST OFFICE. AN INCIPIENT FIRE. (Reed. 9.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 11 An outbreak of fire at the General Post Office was net serious. It was located in the telephone tunnel, and was apparently due to a leak of out--side electric current into the telephone system. About a thousand lines were damaged, but the fire was promptly prevented from spreading.

Mr Flowers refers to the medicos’ resentment of venereal clinics as a storm in a tea cup, and says it arises from a misunderstanding of his intentions. He asks nothing more than that doctors should treat patients confidentially without charge as they already are doing in hospitals.
