ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES

YOUNG MAN DROWNED. CAMBRIDGE, Feb. 5. A farm hand named Thomas Gilmore, employed on the Gordon estate, near Cambridge, was drowned in the Waikato river while bathing with two lads this afternoon. It is believed he was carried into a whirlpool The body has not yet been recovered. Gilmore was about thirty years of age., and was to have been married shortly.
