o PICTURE THEATRESThe beautifully coloured Pathe production, “A Tragedy in thp. Clouds,” a masterpiece, was screened at the Station Street Theatre last night. The drama opens in the quiet, quaint old country of-Holland, and the patron is introduced to a young girl and boy between whom a strong affection exsists' Later we see the maiden an accomplished actress in gay Paris. She is renowned for her beauty and in the midst of her many admirers forgets her former love. The boy, now in his manhood, comes to Paris, and is heart broken by the frigidity of his former lover. Then fate intervenes. The girl attempts a balloon ascent,, but when high up the balloon collapses and falls to earth. Her beauty is destroyed through the accident, and she finds herself deserted by her admirers in her utter misery. The Keystone comedy, “Mabel’s Married Life,” proved a genuine mirth provoker. The fine old work cf Charles Dickens, “David Copperfield,” was presented in picture form at the Three Stars last night before a very appreciative house The acting by' all-British stars was splendid and the staging was excellent, and the whole play was grand representation cf the work.
