PETER DAWSON In the Town Hall on Saturday evening, Mr Peter Dawson, the world-fam-ous baritone, will give his first concert in Taihape, assisted by his brilliant English' concert party Everyone should take the great opportunity of hearing this gifted singer in the flesh. Peter Dawson is knewn all over the world through the medium of his jramaphene records. He is without doubt cue cf the finest baritone singers that has ever toured New Zealand. The crisp staccato .ind wonderful breath control are points that give real distinction to Mr Dawson's renderings, possessing as he ■lces a charming personality, a quick and intelligent perception and a beautiful rich and resonant voice of extraordinary range. The play is most lavishly staged with settings in Holand and France and features a fall from the clouds, a fall in more than one sense. Another fine drama to be screened is the Edison production, "Tu the da:v3 r ; 'F ■■ lOttiofr sterling pictures are " Mabel's Married Life" and "Pups On the Rampage," (comedies), "A Wild Sea and a Stormy Sunset", (scenic) and the latest number of the Gaumont Graphic. A treat is in store for picture patrons tc-night and for the rest cf the week at the Three Stars Theatre. The said treat is the screening of a picture production of Charles Dickens' celebra. ted work, "David Copperfield." The picture is 7000 feet long, and takes up the entire programme. The staging is said to be superb, while the acting, by all-British stars, is excellent.
