ITALY'S OCCUPATION OK VALONA. VIGOROUS REPLY TO AUSTRIAN PROTEST. MILAN, Jan. 10. The newspaper Seccolo states that Austria protested against Italy occupying Valona. Italy replied in firm and energetic terms. INSURRECTIONARY MOVEMENT SPREADING IN ALBANIA. ROME, Jan. 10. The Giornale dTtalia says the insurrectionary movement has extended throughout the whole of Albania. The Mussulmans at San Giobani, despite the armistice, resumed hostilities. SWEDES INDIGNANT. AT GERMAN DUPLICITY. (Reed, 0 5 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 10. The Daily Mail's Copenhagen correspondent says iudignnti «n is growing in Sweden because of Swedish steamers being blown up in the Finnish Gulf. They struck mines which the Germans had laid with the intention of provoking Sweden against Russia. Since the Malmo meeting Sweden’s antagonism to Russia has disappeared. |
