ENORMOUS TURKISH PREPARATION. GERMAN OFFICERS COMMAND. (Reed. 9.45 a.m.) ALEXANDRA, Jan. 1. A prominent American missionary from Jerusalem, states there are active preparations for the invasion cf in spring. Thirty thousand Turk, ish troops a,re assembled south of Jerusalem and it is estimated there are three thousand German officers in Palestine. All the camels in the country have been commandeered. DANISH STEAMER SUNK. CREW ALL SAVED. (Reed. 8.5 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 1. A Danish steamer was sunk by a •vine in the North Sea. The crew was saved.
