ALLEGED BURGLARY.
Mr. W. F. Stephens, of Rose Cottage, Taihape, reports that his residence was burglariously entered last night bysome man, unknown, at about a quarter past nine, The would-be-thief overhauled the cupboards and drawers in the dining room, then the bedroom, but, finding the occupants awake, he beggee pardon and left by the window—the way he came in. The police have the matter in hand.
