ENTERTAINMENTS.
PICTURE THEATRES. Probably the finest detective drama ever brought to New Zealand is the Eclair masterpiece, “Protea the Second,” to be screened at the Station St. Theatre this evening. This thrilling picture-play is one mass of the most startling of episodes and mystery runs deep. The remaining part of the programme consists of a large variety of intensely interesting films. The magnificent dramatic production, “Black Roderick,” will be screened at the Three Stars Theatre this evening. This Big Ben Co. production is a stirring romance set in the beautiful scenery of Scotland. The remainder of the programme includes “A Leap for Life” and “A Romance of the North-West” (dramas) t “His Favourite Pastime” and “Polidor and the Lions” (comics), “Spanish Morocco” (scenic), “Stockatoni, Java, Rice Culture,” and the latest Gaumont Graphic.
