SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 1914. LOCAL AND GENERAL

A meeting of shareholders and others interested in the Otaihape Freezing Co. is called for Wednesday, Doc. 9th. to comence at 11 a.in. in the Town Hall. The main business will be to review the progress made by the company in the past and the advisability or proceeding at once with the erection of the plant in order that freezing operations may be commenced in December, 1915. Although tlio war caused a great depression at the inception of the company hho farmers are now faced with an abnormally good season, and the directors are fully confident that shareholders will meet their obligations and allow of the commencement of the works on a .thoroughly sound foting.

A very pleasurable euchre tournament, in which some 50 players took part was hold in the Railway Hall last night under the auspices of ihe Railway Social Olqb.
