j MEETING OF RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the executive of the j Taihape Rugby Sub-Union was held in j the Fire Brigade Hall on Saturday night, Mr. G. W. Wrightson in the chair. Accounts amounting to £4 13/2 were passed for payment. The case of M. Leahy , who was ordered off the field during the MataroaAlbion match, was dealt with, and after evidence on either side, a motion was passed that Leahy be given a severe caution. The ease of B. Jensen, ordered off the field for striking a player during the Pirates-Railway match, was then discussed. The player did not put in an appearance, nor did Waters, who was notified to give evidence before the Union. Jensen was disqualified for a full playing season for striking a player and for contempt of the Union Waters was disqualified during the pleasure of the Union. The Union decided to procure medals at once for the winers of the seven-a-side tournament.
