£6,812,000 ALREADY SPENT ON SYDNEY BRIDGE ESTIMATE WAS £5,750,000 SYDNEY, Friday. Official figures show that £6.512,000 has already been expended on the construction of the Sydney harbour bridge and on the purchase of land for the approaches. The original estimate of the total cost of the bridge and the land to be taken was £5,750,000. It is expected that when the bridge is completed its cost will have been £8,750,000:
