LEAGUE OF NATIONS COMMITTEES DRUG CONFERENCES SOON Reed. 11.20 a.m. RUGBY, Thurs. The report of the Health Organisation of the League of Nations was presented by Miss Susan Lawrence, Parliamentary Secretary for the British Health Ministry, to the Second Committee of the League at Geneva today, and was Unanimously adojited. Miss Lawrence mentioned particularly the great progress that had been made in children’s health in Great Britain, and also the benefits secured from the study of tropical medicine. The League Council today fixed the conference on the limitation of the manufacture of opium for May 27 next year. It will be preceded by a conference of manufacturing states in London on October 27, and the League’s opium committee on January 9.
