“TUTANKHAMEN”
HIS MAJESTY’S NEXT WEEK “Tutankhamen" will be reviver! by the Amateur Operatic Society at His Majestv’s Theatre next Thursday. A glance through tiie cast of "Tutankhamen" reveals several players who are acknowledged premier songsters of Auckland. Mr. Ernest Snell, tvho has, on many occasions, successfully played juvenile lead in Auckland Amateur Operatic Society productions, made his name as the chief embaimer in the earlier productions of “Tutankhamen." Mow as “Seti" he is allotted some beautiful music, including solos, duet and trios. Mr. Jack Gordon as “Captain Francis,” and Englishman engrossed in the excavations in Egypt, is another amateur whose heart is in theatricals, and his reappearance at His Majesty’s is sure to meet with general approval. Other roles are played by John Mackie, George Tucker, Margaret Cherry, Geoff. Colledge, Alan Hart, Ethel Rae, Veda Nelson, Lynda Murphy, Han Flood, Len Keven, George Tucker, Uoreen D’Authreau and Bruce Hutton.
