ROAD BLOCKED BY SLIP

NAPIER-WAIROA HIGHWAY MAILS AND TRAIN DELAYED Press Association NAPIER Thursday. A slip a chain in length in the Turirca cutting, two miles south ot' Wainoa, has blocked the Napier-Wai-rOa Road. A Public Works Department's train today took mails and passengers to Wairoa, and remained seven miles from the Ohinepaka crossing. The south-hound mails and passengers were to have been .brought to service cars by the same means this evening, but reports ot other slips further south, and Ihe danger 'that the rising river might make tire Tongoio ford impassable for cars, resulted in the train being cancelled. It will however run tomorrow if the road is passable from Ohinepaka to Napier.
