PUKEKOHE BOROUGH

The Pukekohe Borough Council met on Monday, the Mayor, Air. John Routly presiding. Mr. George Parvin was reappointed the council’s representative on the High School Board of Managers. The council decided to inform the Town Planning Board that it was undesirable that Pukekohe be included in any regional planning area. It was decided to give 21 days’ notice of the council’s intention to dispose of the Library and Council Chambers site and to apply to the Governor-General for an Order-in-Council enabling the site to be disposed of. The Waterworks Committee was instructed to consider applications for the extension of the water reticulation to reserves in Belgium, Valley and Paerata Roads.
