Auckland Savings Bank | ATTRACTIVE DECORATIONS I Rose-shaded lights, bowls of Iceland poppies, and graceful palms j which were arranged around the j room, provided artistic decoration at the dance held by the staff of j the Auckland Savings Bank last j evening. The excellent dance I numbers played by Mr. Reg. Morj gan’s Syncopators were thoroughly j appreciated, | Somo very enjoyable items were j given between the dances, including I songs by Miss Lilian Woods, Mr. Frank J Sutherland, and Mr. R. Morgan, a j pianoforte solo by Miss Mary Nathan, j and a recitation by Miss Doris Messer. | Miss Mary Nathan acted as accomi panist. j AMONG THOSE PRESENT Mrs. T. N- Smallwood wore crimson georgette and lace. Mrs. Frank Sutherland was in black chiffon velvet with orchid trimmings. Mrs. H. Wilkins had chosen applegreen satin beaute and diamente. Mrs. Woolley’s gown was of alice blue georgette and gold lace. Mrs. S. Leyland was wearing black and sliver beaded georgette. Mrs. K. Waters wore a black lace gown. Mrs. H. J. Barrett had on white satin and silver lace. Miss Fazakerley was in shell-pink talfeta and lace. Miss P Hayward wore a cedar rose georgette frock. Miss Gertrude Hamilton was in marigold velvet with lace coatee to tone. Miss Valerie Hamilton wore hyacinth taffeta and net with bouffant hip bow. Miss lima Corner had chosen ceil blue taffeta. Miss Thyra Penrose was wearing apricot ring velvet. Miss Eileen Penrose wore a frock of apricot taffeta and lace. Miss Ngaio Penrose had on pale pink frilled georgette with uneven hemline. Miss Edna Smith was wearing a primrose taffeta frock with tinsel bridge coat. Miss G. Parr was gowned in powder blue crepe de chine with silver embroidMiss Mary Sheriff wore blue taffeta appliqued with silvery flowers. Miss M. Nathan was in green french lace. Miss Jean Richardson’s ankle-length frock was of rose-pink taffeta with a diamente buckle. Miss Thora Garratt was wearing silverbacked ivory chenille over shell-pink georgette. Miss Doreen Cook wore peach chiffon with hem of spotted net. Miss J. Leyland’s pretty frock was of shell-pink moire. . . , Miss Aileen Dawson had on a black satin dress and silver coatee. Miss Iv. Dawson had rhosen floral taffeta, ankle length, and tinsel bridge coat. Miss „ Mary Mac Shane was frocked in white georgette. Miss Nora Mac Shane had on primrose taffeta. 0 Miss S. Phillips was wearing pink moire, relieved with blue velvet. Miss Marie Corner chose blue embossed georgette. Miss 1). Messer was wearing flame embossed georgette. Miss D. Beere’s frock was of pink taffeta. Miss K. Harris had on midnight blue embossed georgette.
