MELBOURNE FIRE DAMAGES £20,000 IN EQUIPMENT NEWSPAPER OFFICES MELBOURNE, Thursday. Fire swept through the “Melbourne Herald’s” broadcasting station, 3DB, and the editorial offices of "Stead’s Review.” The “Herald s” newsprint stores and contents were also damaged. The total damage is estimated at £20.000. Among the apparatus burned were two most expensive microphones and three smaller ones; also other broadcasting equipment.
