REVOLT IN CUBA
PLOT ON GOVERNMENT SUPPRESSED LEADERS ARRESTED HAVANA. Monday. The occupation of the city of Palma by military forces was decreed today. action followed the discovery of a plot to attack the military garrison and start a revolution against the Government of General Gerardo Machado. Various members of tb.e Nationalist Party, the leaders of the sedition movement, have been arrested. PANAMA FACES CRISIS MINISTRY RESIGNS POLICE PATROL CAPITAL PAN AM A. Monday. The general election in Panama has been deferred owing to a political crisis involving the President, Senor Don Florencio Arosemena, and his Cabinet. * The Ministry has resigned over a dispute with one of their number, the Minister of Education, who is persona non grata with his colleagues. Police patrolled the capital today, guarding the National Assembly building and keeping the large crowds moving in order to prevent a surprise attack.
