MAYOR UNABLE TO ATTEND UNVEILING CEREMONY ON PT. HALSWELL The Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, and the Town Clerk, Mr, J. S. Brigham, have been invited to Represent the City of Auckland at the unveiling of the memorial erected by the nation to the memory of the late Rt. Hon. W. P. Ma. ;ey, Prime Minister of New Zealand, which has been placed on Point Halswell, Wellington. The ceremony will be performed on Friday, September 19. Citizens of Auckland contributed ?? OU £> to the memorial fund. Mr. Baildon was chairman and Mr Brigham secretary and treasurer of the fund. Mr. Brigham said todav that it ?' ould difficult for the "Mayor or himself to attend, because the Citv Councils next meeting took place on the evening of Thursday, September
