DIVERS’ BIG MOMENT

SAFE BROUGHT TO SURFACE FROM EGYPT WRECK IDENTITY ESTABLISHED Reed. 1 p.m. BREST, Sunday. Divers brought to the surface the safe found in the captain’s cabin of the sunken liner Egypt. When it was opened by oxyacetylene, the flame revealed the key to the strongroom. Mailbags containing diplomatic documents dated 1922 convinced the experts that the wreck was the Egypt.
