AUCKLAND ORPHANS' CLUB

The Auckland Orphans’ Club held the fortnightly meeting in the Scots Hall, Symonds Street, on Saturday evening, when there was a large attendance. The past-president, Professor Maxwell Walker, presided. Members of the executives of the Papakura, Tamaki and Cambridge Orphans’ Clubs were the official guests and Messrs. W. K. Francis, G. Hogan and S. Lewis respectively responded to the welcome. Captain Salvesen and the officers of the Penybryn were received enthusiastically, the members rising and singing “For They Are Jolly Good Fellows.”
