MOTHERS’ UNION

MODERN METHODS OF TEACHING RELIGION The modern way of teaching religion to young children, as compared with the methods of the older generation, was dealt with in an address by Mrs. Talbot, at a well-attended meeting of the St. Mary’s branch of the Mothers’ Union on Wednesday afternoon. The speaker explained how a mother, by her own gentleness, kindness and patience, could instil into her children a tru€; perception of Christ, and how this would become the foundation of their religion as they grew older.

A cordial voce of thanks was passed to Mrs. Talbot. Prior to the address the usual service was held in the cathedral and later afternoon tea was served in the parish hall.
