EVENING WEDDING
BRIDE IN PINK ASTON—CONNELL On Wednesday evening the marriage took place of Miss Alvinoa May Connell, only daughter of Mrs. A. Stewart, of Raurimu, and the Into Mr. Arthur Connell, to Mr. Richard Aston, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Aston, of ITuntly, at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. J. Beck and Mr. Edgar Randal presided at the organ. Given away by Mr. A. Stewart, the bride wore a frock of shell pink georgette with godets of cream guipure lace. J-ler veil of pale pink embroidered tulle was caught to the head with ■ sprays of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers. : Two maids were in attendance. Miss May Lalng and Miss May Aston, wearing frocks of green and daffodil georgette. respectively, made alike, 'with uneven Itemlines and shoulder capes. They wore felt hats in the same shades .as their frocks and carried bouquets to tone. The little flower-girl, Melva j Stewart, wore a frock of "blue geori gette. witii a blue tulle head-dress bordered with silver leaves, and she carf ried a basket of sweet peas. Messrs. W. and J. Aston attended their brother as best man and groomsj man, respectively. The reception which followed was j held at the Domain Kiosk, where Mrs. ! Stewart received the guests wearing 1 ar > ensemble of brown eharmeuse with !a. felt and straw hat to tone. Mrs. 1 Ashton was in an ensemble of fawn j georgette with fox furs and a brown ! hat.
