SPRING FLOWER SHOW IS HELD BY PENWOMEN
The rooms of the League of Penwomen were gay with flowers yesterday afternoon, when the gardenmaker’s section of the league held a spring flower show. Among the exhibits were some very fin© specimens of Argentina sweet peas, daffodils, stocks, anemones, primroses and violets. There was a beautiful collection of flowers from Airs. Tattersfield’s garden, among which was the Bomerea mullflora.. a member of the lily family, which grows in a large cluster of beltliko flowers in flame and golden tones. During the afternoon a prize for the best collection of flowers, which was decided upon by the vote of the visitors, was won by Mrs. Quartley. Among those exhibiting blooms were; Aliss Sweet, Airs. Quartley, Mrs. Tattersfield, Airs. J. \V. Ryburn, Mrs. M. L. Tweedie, Airs. R. Peacocke, Airs. Grant, Dr. Gladys Rowley, the Misses Melville, Aliss Fleming, and Aliss Lavers. Afternoon tea was served, the hostesses being Mrs. O. Buc.hanari, Mrs, C. D. McLean and Airs. Sidney Smith. Airs. J. W. Ryburn preided.
