Merry Melody had an advantage i n the weights and was two lengths clear at the finish. Skyrider Gallops Well Skyrider was too good for Archera over seven and although they were together at the entrance to the straight there was only one in it over the final bit. Great Lady, with a light boy up. took 1.10 for five furlongs Sporting Chance (T. Green) and Gran Chaco <L. Boyd) sprinted honfrom the four furlongs post, taking 5sT They finished together, but the Lackin' colt was bowling along very nicely. Brilliant Light and Pahu covered six furlongs in 1.25 and finished together, neither being pushed.
