ACCIDENT IN SHIP’S HOLD
As a result of a fall of more than 20 feet in the hold of the Union Company's steamer Waikouaiti. Mr. Charles Edward Beasley, a waterside worker, of 28 Oliphant Street, Ponsonby. was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance suffering from fractures of ribs and the right ankle. The accident occurred yesterday afternoon while the injured man was engaged in loading operations. His condition this morning was as not serious.
