NEW ROAD STARTED
WHANGARATA TO POKENO WORK FOR UNEMPLOYED Prom Our Oicn Correspondent PUKEKOHE, Today. Tli© erection of huts yesterday, maked the commencement of work on tho Whangarata-Pokeno Road. The legalisation of the route via the old railway line has been completed by the Franklin County Council and the Government has agreed to place unemployed relief workers on the formation. The road will provide a shorter outlet to the South from the northern portions of the Raglan County and the southern portion of the Franklin County.
