EX-SERVICE WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION ARRANGES HAPPY FUNCTION

BRIGHT DECORATIONS Ex-servicemen and women who attended the bridge and dance evening held by the Ex-Service Women’s Association in the Interhouse Girls’ clubrooms, Chancery Lane, yesterday, spent a thoroughly enjoyable time. The rooms had been very charmingly decorated with floral sprayjs in red and gold tones, and tubs of flax, palms and bamboo lined the walls. The supper tables were decorated in gold and blue, the association’s colours, with daffodils, gold poppies and blue irises. The dancing was interspersed with items contributed by Aliss Aline Davies, Aliss Moira Gulliver, Air. A. Higgio and Air. J,. Dong, minuet: Miss Alarsden and Air. John O'Malley, songs; Aliss Kathleen Teape, monologues; and Air. R. Aluston, violin solos. Mr. Reg Morgan’s orchestra supplied splendid music for dancing. On arrival the guests were welcomed by Airs. H. L. Gould, the association president, who wore a gown of gold metal lace mounted on gold lame. COMMITTEE AIEMBERS PRESENT Aliss Nutsey, patroness, was gowned in black satin beaute relieved with o green floral shoulder spray. Airs. R. T. Alichaels was wearing a black satin gown with sequin embroideries. Mrs. F. C. Webster’s gown of black crepe de soie was relieved with diamente embroideries. Airs. Robin Doch had on gold metal cloth combined with black georgette. Airs. H. R. H. Chalmers wore a smart frock of black ring velvet. Mrs. G. Gariick was in black Chantilly lace with gold lame coatee. Airs. Emptage was gowned in cedar brown satin beaute. Mrs. Ranfurly Smith wore patterned chiffon with figured lame bridge coat. Aliss Teape was in a frock of black lace worn with'a patterned ring velvet coatee. AJiss G. Lux ford was w’earing a pretty rose pink sprigged taffetp. frock. Aliss Stubington had on a draped frock of black satin beaute. Aliss E. Ernest was frocked in del blue crepe de chine and lace. Aliss Dash had chosen phlox pink ninon with diamente embroideries.
