CHAMBER MUSIC
CONCERT ON MONDAY NEED FOR SUPPORT The third concert by the Auckland Chamber Music Society will be given at the Lewis Eady Hall, on Monday evening, when a firstclass programme including a Mendelssohn quartet, Dvorak’s “Nigger” quartet and “Drink to Me Only With Thine Eyes,” will be presented. The Auckland Chamber Music Society is performing excellent service in presenting programmes of chamber music and is deserving of the warm support of the musical community. As the price of admission to the concerts is very low, It is necessary that the society's existence should be guaranteed by a number of annual subscribers. Although the society was formed only recently, it is making good progress, but more subscribers are necessary if it is to be able to continue to present to the public the classical works of tile master musicians, many of which are comparatively unknown to many followers of music in this country.
