SUSSEX TEAM ALL OUT FOR TOTAL 269 BRIGHT HITTING DISPLAY Itecd. 10.10 a.m. LONDON, Monday. The Australian cricketers today continued their match against Sussex at Hove, Brighton. When stumps were drawn on Saturday the visitors had made 349 runs in their first innings for nine wickets, Hurwood (52) and Hornibrook (50) being the not-out men. These two batsmen had added IS runs when Hurwood was out leg-before to Wensley. The innings closed for 367. The Australian last wicket partnership produced 118 in 110 minutes. Sussex v began in spirited fashion. Bowley and Parks raising 36 in half an hour. At 68 Hornibrook dismissed the former. Duleepsinhji was attractive, but Hornibrook claimed him as a victim for the sixth time of the tour, when Oldfield accomplished a brilliant piece of stumping. SKILFUL BATTING

Parks was 50 in 105 minutes. He and Cook continued to bat with skill and freedom. Sussex’ 150 took 130 minutes. Parks, after an excellent innings of 145 minutes, including nine boundaries, played Hornibrook on. At tea the County was in a good position with three wickets down for 212. Cook’s 50 occupied 100 minutes. Three wickets then fell in quick succession. Tate batted vigorously, hitting Grimmett for two fours and a six in one over. The last six wickets only added 57. Cook, unconquered, batted for 170 minutes, and gave a chanceless display, hitting six fours. Hornibrook maintained a good length throughout.
