MISS RATHBONE DEFEATED: MISS KAY WINS FIRST ROUND IN AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE, Monday. The 16 players who qualified last week played in the first round of the match play in the women’s golf championship of Australia at Oakleigh today. Miss Kay (New Zealand) defeated Miss Lascelles, one up. Mrs. Hay defeated Miss Rathbone (Auckland), two up. The other winners were Misses Donaldson, Susie Tolhurst, Wray, Burgess, Murdock and Mrs. Russell.
