“HANDBAG KING” THEFTS

SILVER TAKEN AT MOUNT EDEN The ‘'handbag king” has been busy again in the Mount Eden district. Two of this cheeky thief’s raids were made last evening, and have been reported to the Mount Eden South police. The thefts were committed at residences in Marama Avenue and Cecil Road, but in neither instance was more than a little silver missing. The method of the ‘‘handbag king” is to enter a house while the occupants are at home, remove a handbag from a room, empty it of valuables, and leave the bag outside the front door.
