MAJESTIC

“CAPTAIN OF THE GUARD” John Boles co-starred with Laura La Plante in “Captain of the Guard,” which is now being shown at the Majestic Theatre. became the most popular star on the singing screen because he once sang as a soldier in a Y.M.C.A. hut in France. A famous English composer, also a soldier, encouraged Boles to train, his marvellously beautiful voice, with the ultimate result that he plays possibly tho most romantic and dramatic role of the year in the current film. The love songs which he sings were especially written for the picture by Charles Wakefield Cadman and Rex Roehmeld. Sam de Grasse, James Marcus, Stuart Holmes. George Hackathorne, Lionel Belmore, Richard Cramer and others have outstanding parts in the noteworthy supporting cast.
