N.Z. GOLF TITLE
PROMINENT COMPETITORS DUNCAN, HORTON AND ROSS Special to THE SUN WELLINGTON, Today. A. D. S. Duncan, ten times amateur golf champion of New Zealand, has every intention of making another effort to carry off the title at this year’s championship meeting at Palmerston North, he stated today. It is interesting to recall that on the old course before Mr. C. Redhead altered it, Duncan won the last amateur title, heating T. H. Horton in the final. Horton and Dr. K. Ross, of Dunedin, both mean to be at Palmerston for the national meeting, according to advice in Wellington.
