CLOSING DOWN

ROTORUA BOOKING OFFICE From Our Oicn Correspondent ROTORUA, Saturday. The railway booking office, which was opened in Tutanekai Street, Rotorua, is closing down, it being held that the results have not justified the venture. During the period the office has been open it has put through gross bookings amounting to £4,000, the upkeep and staff costing close on £ 9 a week. To this must be added the initial cost of fitting-up, and other expenses. It is understood that a motor transport company will act in future as town agents for the department, while tho balance of booking will be done at the railway station.
